Amanda Havill Adgate is a writer and lifelong voracious reader. Her formative years were spent building blanket forts, scribbling scenes into notebooks, crafting imaginary worlds, and cooking meals based on her favorite stories. She is an alumnus of Adrienne Young’s Writing with the Soul workshop and a member of the Horror Writers Association.

After completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and obtaining licensure in multiple states as a Mental Health Counselor, she took a step back from her career to focus on raising her growing family, and rediscovered her love for story in between diaper changes and listening to Baby Shark on repeat.

When not writing or working with her private practice clients, Amanda can be found drinking copious amounts of tea and coffee, chauffeuring her four daughters, or laughing with her husband, usually with a book close by. She currently lives with her family near the mountains of North Carolina.
